About the event
Join the Starboard Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to maritime education, boating safety, and community outreach, for an unforgettable evening celebrating adventure, perseverance, and life on the water. On April 17 at 7:00 PM, the Foundation proudly hosts accomplished Great Loop cruiser Robert Youens for a special live presentation at Fort Worth Boat Club.
Robert captured the attention of the boating world by completing the legendary Great Loop, a continuous recreational boating route spanning approximately six thousand miles through rivers, canals, lakes, and coastal waterways of the eastern United States, in record-setting fashion aboard his 16-foot Jon boat, Ageless Wanderer. His remarkable journey demonstrated that determination, careful preparation, and a passion for exploration can accomplish extraordinary feats, even with a small craft.
During this engaging presentation, Robert will share firsthand stories from the voyage, practical lessons in navigation, safety, and small-boat handling, as well as the behind-the-scenes challenges and rewards…
